Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation

One brand that consistently has my heart in a flutter as of late is the beautifully luxurious Charlotte Tilbury. With an entire range of divine products on offer, encased in their rose gold packaging, founded by an incredibly inspiring and passionate woman, they truly are hard to resist. Nothing excites me more than purchasing a new foundation with the prospect of falling in love with a new holy grail product, so when I heard about the release of Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Foundation I was head over heels with excitement. For the longest time I hmm'd and haa'd about which Charlotte Tilbury product should be my first purchase (it really did take me that long to decide) but as soon as I heard about this foundation, I knew this was going to be the one.

Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Foundation has been in development for five years - knowing that such dedication and commitment went into producing this product from Charlotte Tilbury herself is encouraging, exciting and simply inspiring. The Magic Foundation promises "perfect skin" and is designed to conceal a whole range of imperfections, making everyday a good skin day. It is described as a full-coverage, long-lasting yet completely weightless foundation.

I purchased the Magic Foundation just over two months ago and so have given myself plenty of time to trial it. As of late, my skin has been rather problematic with breakouts, redness and scarring - and so I was very excited by the idea of a full-coverage foundation. To me, this foundation is a much more medium coverage. It is certainly buildable to a point - but perhaps not the point that I expected. It definitely does the job in covering up any redness, but may need some extra concealing when it comes to breakouts or scarring. In terms of the feel of the foundation, I will admit that I was slightly apprehensive about using a heavier coverage foundation. I'll typically opt for a light coverage as I don't tend to have a lot of issues with my skin, however lately that has been quite the opposite. Thankfully, this foundation truly does feel weightless on my skin which is an absolute godsend. For me, this factor alone makes it a perfect foundation for all kinds of occasions - whether it be for everyday at work or evenings out.

I use my Silk Finish brush from Zoeva to apply this foundation and I feel like these two are a match made in heaven. The foundation glides on so easily with this brush, without leaving any streaks or giving a "blocky" foundation look. It blends beautifully, and gives a radiant finish while at the same time staying matte throughout the day.

All in all, Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Foundation is definitely my new foundation love and I couldn't be happier that I chose this to be my first product from her luxurious range. After using it frequently for a couple of months, I have very little qualms. I honestly cannot wait to purchase more beautiful products from such an exciting brand!

Have you tried Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Foundation? What did you think?
