Tips for a Magical Disneyland Paris Getaway

disneyland-paris-holiday-tips

It's been almost two weeks since Adam and I returned from our getaway to Paris. Since being back I've had a few people ask specifically about Disneyland - what's the easiest way to get there, what's the food like, where should we stay, and the list goes on. I've only been to Disneyland Paris once (aside from when I was about five) but before heading there I took my time researching everything I needed to know in order to have a stress-free, affordable and wonderfully magical holiday. This will be a slightly different post than what I would usually share, but I can honestly say that if I had found a post such as this before beginning to plan our trip I would have found it a lot less stressful and it would have saved me bundles of time! So I thought I'd share some of my insights incase any of you are thinking of booking yourself a little getaway to Disneyland!

Beauty: Paris Haul

beauty haul

During our recent getaway to Paris I couldn't resist paying a visit to the Sephora flagship store at Champs-Élysées (much to Adam's dismay). Typically my hauls tend to happen by accident, but this time I saved a few extra dolla in preparation for my first ever Sephora experience. My oh my, it was beautiful. I had an idea in mind of what I wanted to pick up and I left the store extremely content with my purchases. There's nothing much better than treating yourself to a few well earned beauty bits!

Let's start with my beloved NARS. The Radiant Creamy Concealer was the first thing I picked up as I've been lusting after it for the longest time. It's a beautiful, long lasting, buildable medium-to-full coverage concealer and I've been using it religiously ever since. It has definitely taken its quick and rightful place as my new holy grail concealer. It's a godsend for under eye circles as I feel as though it adds a brightness to my complexion. Also from NARS was a little bit of an impulse purchase, but definitely not one I regret. I've been dying to get my hands on NARS Audacious Lipsticks for a while but deciding on a shade to start with was a challenge and a half. The lady at the counter was so helpful in aiding me make my choice and so I eventually opted for Vera. It's a gorgeous plum-red shade with a subtle golden shimmer and a sheer finish. I feel as though it brightens my whole appearance and is a beautiful stand-out-ish shade for all seasons.

Next up: MAC. After reading so many raving reviews and seeing so many beautiful photos of MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade it was without hesitation that I picked it up. It is a beautiful highlighter with wonderful pigmentation and longevity and it just makes me feel like a shimmering goddess. It's so pretty in the pan I almost didn't want to use it! I also finally managed to get my hands on MAC's lipstick in Brave and lip liner in Whirl - both of which I've been hunting down for the longest time. I used Brave almost immediately and wore it throughout our days in Disneyland. I'm obsessed! Whirl is the perfect liner to pair with Velvet Teddy - my other beloved.

Finally, my favourite purchase of all has to be my new favourite scent - Roses De Chloé. I picked up the 75ml which will last me for ages. It's a beautifully uplifting sweet rose scent. I'm not a fan of strong rose scents, but this one is watery and sweet and I feel as though it has a subtle warmth and muskiness to it, which I love. It's going to be perfect for spritzing during Summer!

Have you tried any of these products? What beauty bits have you picked up recently?

Thank you so much for reading!

VLOG: Disneyland Paris

For our second anniversary together, Adam and I visited the most magical place in the world to celebrate: Disneyland Paris! Whilst there we decided to vlog what we got up to so we could share it with you all and have something to look back on. The weather was incredible, the atmosphere was out of this world and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate a milestone anniversary with my favourite person.

Revamp

WELCOME TO KATY BELLE!

For a while now I've felt that this blog needed a huge revamp. I was becoming increasingly unhappy with my design, my URL, my photography - everything! And so, after a touch up here and there, I've finally arrived at KATY BELLE, which I am very pleased with and super excited about. My brand new blog design was made by the ever so talented pipdig - you can find his works right here.

This will still be a primarily beauty and lifestyle blog with my own personal injection. I felt a little disconnected from my previous blog name which I think in turn made it difficult to portray my own personality through my blog. I feel like a refresh on certain aspects has worked wonders and I now feel much more connected and comfortable with this blog.

I should also mention that I finally have my own Youtube Channel! Adam and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Paris and this Sunday our Disneyland vlog will be going live. Nonetheless, the main focus for now will remain on my blog. I have no set schedule or plan for Youtube at the moment, but I will certainly keep you posted. Feel free to subscribe!

I have a lot of content in the works at the moment that I simply cannot wait to share with you all. As mentioned, keep your eyes peeled for my Disneyland vlog coming this Sunday. And look out for brand new posts every Wednesday and Sunday!

What do you think of my new blog name and design?

Thank you so much for reading!
