3 Brands That I Want To Try More From.

3 brands that i want to try more from beauty

As a creature of habit, I have a tendency to stick to what I know - particularly when it comes to beauty products. Back in the day, I'd find myself buying a new product from yet another brand every other week. However, since then, I really believe that I've honed my beauty routine and have thoroughly tried and tested the products that I have come to wholeheartedly love. I have my holy grails, and I'm very comfortable with what I know and use on a daily basis.

Be that as it may, there are in fact a number of beauty brands that have recently fallen into my radar that have positively blown me back, and a few others that I am itching to try more from, and what better place to start than at the very beginning of a brand new year? Here are a few of the beauty brands I'll be delving a little more into in the coming months.

Too Faced

Honestly, I'm totally baffled as to why it took me so long to jump on the Too Faced bandwagon. Too Faced are undeniably dominating the beauty industry, not to mention the blogosphere which really thrusted this brand into the limelight in recent years. In truth, it's no surprise why - complete with adorable, eye-catching branding and packaging, not to mention an abundance of quality products that truly achieve what they promise.

At the end of last year I was gifted the Chocolate Bar eye palette for Christmas and, truthfully, I have been using it religiously since. The palette contains 16 matte and shimmer shadows with a very much neutral theme running throughout. I find all of the shades to be extremely wearable, which is surprising - usually there are one or two shades in a palette that I would avoid like the plague, but I feel comfortable in what this palette has to offer as it suits my everyday style. Yet without a doubt, the best thing about the palette is the formulation of the shadows. Not only are they perfectly pigmented, but they are remarkably soft and buttery, which makes for some seriously dreamy blending.

Not only are they winning at the eyeshadow game, but Too Faced have a plethora of other highly praised products that I hope to add to my collection in the coming months, such as the Hangover Primer and the Shadow Insurance.

Stila Cosmetics

Another brand that I have heard so many great things about, yet am so late to the party for, is Stila Cosmetics. Towards the end of last year, after spotting the very beautiful Rhianna sporting Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in 'Fiery' over on her Instagram, I immediately wanted to get my hands on it for the festive season - and that's just what I did.

Just like so many others, I am having a serious moment with liquid lipsticks right now - and Stila is a real contender for one of the best formulas that I have tried thus far. This creamy-matte, full coverage lip colour delivers an outstandingly perfect bold red that lasts continuously for hours (seriously - I wore this gem on Christmas Day and it barely budged at all). Not only is the colour to die for, but the formula provides a superb level of comfort that I haven't quite felt with any other liquid lipstick that I've tried. Although no matte lipstick is ever going to be totally non-drying - this one certainly doesn't cause any flakiness or discomfort throughout wear, which makes it an unquestionable winner in my eyes.

Stila's liquid lipsticks have me absolutely smitten, and it's just a matter of time before I extend my collection by one or two (or three, or four...) more. Again, Stila have a variety of products available that I truly believe I've been missing out on for the last number of years, such as the coveted Convertile Colours, which I hope to get my hands on next.

I have a confession to make: I am yet to actually try anything from Glossier's range, but I am seeing this as a way of making a mental note to do so. I have heard an abundance of great things about this American based brand that started with a super successful beauty blog - from their skincare range right through to their range of make-up, all which focuses on glowy, dewy skin - they aim to rethink the beauty industry.

Products such as The Supers, the Priming Moisturiser, the Milky Jelly Cleanser, the Haloscope - to name but a few - are products that I have seen thoroughly praised, and as such I am itching to get my hands on them to give them a try. My beautiful friend Kelsey is a true advocate for the brand, often featuring products in her knowledgeable beauty posts which are absolutely second to none. If like myself you are keen to get your hands on some Glossier products, you can shop through Kelsey's page for 20% off your first order.

Are there any brands that you would like to try more from this year?
